Level Up Your Game: A Sneak Peek into the Most Exciting Game Events in Indonesia

Since May 2023, the Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kemkominfo) and the Indonesian Game Association (AGI) have joined forces to bring forth the Indonesia Game Developer eXchange (IGDX) 2023.

IGDX is an accelerator program aimed at enhancing the capabilities of Indonesian game developers and providing them with access to funding and partnership opportunities. This program is organized by Kemkominfo in collaboration with AGI, and it comprises four key components: IGDX Academy, IGDX Career, IGDX Business, and IGDX Conference.

This collaboration marks the largest IGDX to date, reflecting a significant stride in the program's evolution. IGDX 2023 encompasses a series of activities designed to empower and connect the Indonesian gaming industry. These include:

IGDX Academy: An initiative that brings together 27 Indonesian game developers with mentors from both domestic and international backgrounds, fostering knowledge exchange and skills development.

IGDX Career: A platform that bridges the gap between top talents in the local game industry and leading companies, creating opportunities for career growth and collaboration.

IGDX Business: A forum that connects local game developers with experienced professionals in the gaming industry, facilitating potential partnerships and business ventures.

IGDX Conference: A one-day seminar featuring speakers from the government, key figures in the game business, investors, and related industries, offering insights and networking opportunities.

The pinnacle of IGDX 2023, comprising the Business and Conference components, is scheduled to take place at The Stones Hotel, Kuta, Bali, from October 11th to October 13th, 2023. This year's event introduces a new addition to the format, where 27 IGDX Academy participants will showcase their creations in a dedicated area. This showcase is envisioned to serve as a platform for developers to introduce their games to Conference attendees and potential business partners in IGDX Business.

The diverse participation from various regions of Indonesia showcases the broadening ecosystem and developmental potential of the gaming industry in the country. Beyond enhancing production capabilities, IGDX Academy plays a crucial role in enabling developers to expand their investment networks, emphasizing the multifaceted benefits of this program.
